About Me

I'm a bioinformatics scientist that is currently researching knowledge graphs and graph neural networks for applications in cancer and rare disease research. For many years I struggled with education and school due to what I now know was undiagnosed ADHD. I failed and had to retake almost every math class (among other classes, and occasionally more than once) for most of my academic academic career.

The bad news:
- that's a lot of time and money.

The good news:
- I've failed these classes in almost every possible way so you don't have to. I've been stuck doing math at 3:00 am on many occasions, and I understand the frustration that can come with trying to understand a concept for many hours with little success.

I have a lot of experience tutoring most STEM related classes and this website was originally created as a place to organize my notes and address some of the common problems I see students struggle with while also being a supplemental resource for the students that I tutor.

My overall goal for the site is for it to eventually be a comprehensive linked database of general information, applications, visualizations, and learning tools within the broad umbrella of "Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine". I want this to be a resource for people who are familiar with the concepts to use as a reference, as well as a place that someone who is inexperienced with a topic to learn in a way that is accessible to them.

I plan on always keeping this site free and open to use as a resource. This is very much still a WIP, however if you have any comments/questions, email me at jamest.cmd@gmail.com
